I am currently testing new broadcast technology called AURACAST. Williams Sound is outdated, and still expensive, a new transmitter costs $1,500 with used receivers averaging $120 on eBay. I purchased an Auracast transmitter for $100.00 on Amazon, several new hearing aid manufacturers have Auracast available through their phone app or if you are not hearing aid dependant, there are earbuds on Amazon that are Auracast capable and less than $80.00. I was fitted with hearing aids on January 29, 2026, my purchase was guided by which company had the newest design, best reviews and that they must be Auracast compliant.
